On May 2nd PoachedRhino.org, with a generous donation from the St. James’s Place Foundation (UK) and in conjunction with theKusasaProject.org (Franschhoek) took ’14 local Scholars’(chosen by Kusasa) on a 3 hour educational trip to Aquila Private Game Reserve. The ‘scholars (13-17 years) were treated to a 3 hour field trip to learn about the big 5,conservation and flora and fauna. We are hoping that the scholars will be inspired to pursue a career in conservation, or become a vet,or game warden and also to better understand why our rhinos are being poached.
The children were provided with transport via Kusasa (and accompanied by Sintu(driver) and Kirsten(teacher from Franschhoek High School)and they received bags, pens, lunch, drinks and educational brochures from Poachedrhino.org.
We intend to organise future trips for other local school children. If you would like to find out more information or donate for future school trips then please contact Graeme@poachedrhino.org

Thank you for all the people who helped to make this a very special day for children who would not get the opportunity to see the wildlife in their own country.
