Roaring success…. Wild in Africa Rhino Ball
A roaring success! That’s the verdict of both the organisers and attendees of the ‘Wild in Africa Rhino Ball’ that took place in aid of the Poached Rhino charity in the town hall on 7th February 2015. No fewer than 134 guests attended and really got into the spirit of the event by taking the black tie / safari dress code to creative highs.

What did you do on World Rhino Day September 22nd?
Poached rhino had a gala evening with 50 guests at The Salmon Bar in Franschhoek , hosted by new owners David & Sarah MacGinty. A fun eving was had by all including raffle and auction prizes, with R18000 net proceeds raised on the night. We would like to thank all who helped and our sponsotrs who made the evening possible and a huge sucess.

Poacher jailed for 77 years in South Africa.
Excellent news! A rhino poacher in South Africa has been sentenced to 77 years in prison for his role in killing three rhino calves in Kruger National Park.
